The Refill CAPS are made through molded fiber technology, utilizing renewable organic sources such as industrial hemp or wood cellulose and is 100% recyclable, reusable and compostable. The sustainable advantage of molded fiber is that it can be made from a wide variety of cellulose materials, as a result leading to decrease of deforestation. Thus, the Refill CAP not only solves the current problem of excessive plastic consumption, but also the future problem of disproportionate deforestation for paper and fiber-based packaging.

Conventional cream jars are made of plastic or glass to fulfill the shelf-life requirements and luxurious looks. However, the same jars have high weight and ultimately result in increased Co2 emissions through transportation. The refill concept solves this problem by retaining the glass/plastic cream jar after the product contents have been used. This reduces the production volume of the cream jars, which is reflected in a saving of unnecessary packaging materials. Furthermore, the transport weight is also reduced due to the reduced packaging volume. This results in savings in transport costs, fees and Co2 emissions. Ultimately, the amount of plastic waste generated by companies and consumers is also reduced.
The Refill CAPS are characterized by a more space-saving and lighter packaging of the product content than a conventional cream jar. This reduces the transport weight and, due to the smaller packaging volume, proportionally more product contents can be transported and stored. At the same time, consumers are no longer forced to buy the product contents with a new cream jar. Thus, consumers can benefit from a reduced price and consume more sustainably. Furthermore, customer loyalty can be strengthened by reusing the cream jar.
The Refill CAP can be removed from the cream jar after use and disposed via waste paper or compost bins. Finally to recharge the cream jar, simply insert a new sustainable Refill CAP. Due to the organic coating, the Refill CAP can be 100% recycled and serve as another raw material depot for further product packaging.
